Though Buddha dodges, when the Misery Cleaver cuts into the ground, it continues to cut the ground and even cuts into the Gods' section of the crowd. Zerofuku swings the Misery Cleaver once more. Smirking, Hermes calls it an unconventional weapon. As he says this, sharp and narrow blades extend out along the axe's handle, and veins appear on the blade. Zerofuku's Divine Weapon absorbs all the misery that Zerofuku feels and ends up becoming larger and more destructive as a result, which is why it is called the Misery Cleaver. Zeus comes back in and tells Ares he isn't imagining things. In disbelief, Ares questions if he's imagining that Zerofuku's Misery Cleaver grew bigger. Both Humanity and the Gods react with fear, and Hermes calls this an interesting development. The Misery Cleaver begins shifting and eyes are created along the tendrils surrounding the hilt. Huffing, Zerofuku complains about not being able to hit Buddha and yells out that he is in so much misery. Zerofuku's Misery Cleaver grows more powerful in response to Zerofuku becoming more miserableĪs they watch, the Gods comment on how Zerofuku is getting juked and one even suggests that Bishamonten should've gone up instead of Zerofuku. After whining about how this only happens to him, Zerofuku continues to wildly swing but Buddha calmly evades each one. As Confucius yells that he's going all in, Zerofuku unleashes a number of swings, only for Buddha to dodge each and every attack that Zerofuku attempts. However, Buddha dodges the attack with ease, much to Zerofuku's confusion. After a few moments, Zerofuku finally launches an attack and swings his Misery Cleaver forward. When tendrils of Zerofuku's Misery Cleaver writhe, Göll exclaims that it seems like it's alive. After hacking up a bit of blood, Zerofuku complains about being hurt and questions why he has to feel so much pain. With Zerofuku still on the ground, Buddha asks if he's even gonna fight or not. While Socrates points out that Buddha is quick to a scrap, Jesus remains silent.Ĭonfucius says, "Repay evil with evil." and admits that this is getting his blood pumping, though he prefers not to say it too loud in front of his pupils. The other two sages, Confucius and Jesus, stand next to Socrates. It is then revealed to be Socrates, who says Buddha is pretty ruthless, despite being part of the Four Sages. The Gods call Buddha a coward for attacking when Zerofuku's guard was down while Humanity, more specifically, Buddhist monks, are unsure about Buddha taking his opponent by surprise. Buddha tells Zerofuku to get up already, telling him to start this fight for real. Heimdall calls Zerofuku down for the count already as the God of Misfortune continues coughing from Buddha's kick.
